“Make the life you want.” – Leslee Holloway
The core of Mill Hollow Works is building self-reliance; teaching how to be capable in any situation with any tools, and any materials. This is taught THROUGH courses as seemingly unrelated as wilderness survival craft, with nothing but your knife – to video productions, with modern equipment and software – from building a wall from stone, a machine from steel, or a boat from wood.
The story of the Mill Hollow School is the story of young people leaving – and adults returning – home. Of learning about where you’re from by experiencing as much of the world as you can, and bringing back all that you have gathered to be a contributing member of your community.
