Description
A gentle but effective cleanser, Goat Milk Soap offers amazing benefits including making skin more vibrant, easing psoriasis and acne, and even reducing wrinkles. During our course Making Goat Milk Soap, students will learn the delicate process of incorporating this perishable ingredient into soap while maintaining the benefits of the lactic acid.
Goat milk contains alpha-hydroxy acids such as lactic acid which help remove dead skin cells from your skin’s surface. This leaves new cells on the surface of your skin that are smoother and younger looking. It also contains many vitamins, but is particularly high in Vitamin A, which is necessary to repair damaged skin tissue, and maintain healthy skin. There have been several medical studies showing that creams made with Vitamin A reduce lines and wrinkles, control acne, and provide some psoriasis relief. Regardless of whether your skin is healthy or not, it will certainly benefit from using a handmade soap, made not with water, but with unprocessed, raw goat milk fresh from the farm of Goat Hollow Homestead, which is owned and operated by our instructor Kelly Nash.
Kelly Nash, single-mother of two boys, self-taught Homesteader, Goat Farmer, Soap Maker, Educator and Certified Yoga Instructor, has been living in the Monadnock area all her life.
