Description

Setting-up and Using Power Saws takes students through the set-up, adjustment and safe use of stationary power saws.  Are you scared of using a Table Saw, Band Saw, or Radial Arm Saw? Have you used one but want to learn how to set up the saw, or how to adjust the blade to specific angles?  Do you want to learn how to change the blade? Maybe you want to gain confidence in using power saws and need time to practice in a supported, guided environment.  This class is for YOU.

This skills based course, Setting-up and Using Power Saws, grew out of our Woodworking for Women class where students wanted more time to learn and practice with stationary power saws, particularly, the table saw.  Over and over we’ve heard, “I’ve used a Table Saw, but someone has always set it up for me – I want to learn how to do that”.  We heard you – and this course provides you with those skills.
