Carpentry Level I

Carpentry Level I introduces students to the basic tools, skills and concepts necessary to tackle projects in home renovation and remodeling. Providing an introduction to Carpentry, this course provides an excellent foundation for those contemplating a career in the field. Across 8 Tuesday evenings, students will be working to become proficient with tools such as hammers, hand saws, squares, chisels, and demolition tools. Additionally this course will be covering measuring, chalk lining and project layout techniques. Additional focus will be spent on equipment and job safety. Hands-on elements include the building of saw horses. Carpentry Level I includes 8 weeks of classes, each taking place Tuesday evening, 6:30-8:30pm beginning Sept 17th and completing Nov 5th. No experience necessary.
